Celebrate Christmas New Mexico style!  This 2.25" Ten Piece Pueblo Style Nativity is as authentic as it gets. These adorable handcrafted pieces have Native American handpainted details and are locally made on the Santo Domingo Pueblo by Native American artist Angel Bailon.  Each peice is hand molded out of clay, fired in the ground, and hand painted with traditional designs. This authentic southwestern pueblo pottery is made on Santo Domingo Pueblo, New Mexico, USA

Angel Bailon was born at Santo Domingo Pueblo (now Kewa), 25 miles south of Santa Fe to Edna Marie and Luciano Coriz.  Angel is of Kewa, Jemez and Laguna descent, and shows at the Santo Domingo Arts and Crafts Show at Kewa Pueblo.  Angel learned the skill of pottery making from her mother when she was a young teen.


After marrying Ralph Bailon, they became a team with Angel constructing their angels, ornaments, and spectacular nativities and Ralph painting them in the traditional Kewa geometric designs.  Now, they are a family affair with their son joining in.


The Bailon’s collectable pieces are all entirely handmade and are authentic Native American crafts.
