Patron Saint
Saint Andrew The Apostle Jewelry and Collectables
Born on the Sea of Galilee, Andrew (6 BC-60 AD) and his brother, Simon Peter, were fishermen. While walking along the shore of the Sea, Jesus saw them and asked them to become disciples and "fishers of men". As a follower of John the Baptist, Andrew led many people to Jesus both before and after his crucifixion. He was eventually crucified on an X shaped cross called a saltire which, in 1385, became the symbol on the national flag of Scotland for which Andrew had been named Patron Saint.
