Saint Therese Hand Painted Statue
Beautifully hand painted statue of Saint Therese with excellent detail. Made of stone and resin mix.
This 6" home decor statue is truly amazing with its skillful detail. Her face is painted with precision to add a sweet look to the already beautiful statue. She is holding a cross and roses, symbolizing her name of "Little Flower." Born in 1873 in France (the same year the Loretto Chapel was built), known as the Little Flower because she was like simple wildflower, generally unnoticed but constantly giving Glory to God. She loved nature and often used it as imagery to explain how God's presence is everywhere. Therese of Lisieux became religious at a young age, joining a Carmelite nunnery at age 15. She spent most of her life secluded after the death of her parents. She also suffered from many illnesses and died of tuberculosis at age 24.
