Saint Anne Jewelry and Collectables
Married to St. Joachim, Anne (1st Century BC) is the mother of Our Lady and the grandmother of Jesus Christ. It was long believed that Anne was a virgin in the conception and birth of Mary, but the tale was proved false in a vision to Saint Collette and condemned by the Vatican in 1677. Although there is no mention of Anne or her husband in the Gospels, we know of Anne through Catholic tradition and the Gospel of James (an unsanctioned Gospel). Düren, Germany has been the main place of pilgrimage for Anne since 1506.
