This wooden ornament is handcrafted in Bosque Farms, New Mexico, by local artist Carolyn Johnson. She has modeled 65 different churches into little wooden ornaments,  including Santuario de Chimayo, Saint Francis Cathedral Basilica, and San Miguel Mission. Each ornament is 2.5" wide and 2" high and is extremely detailed to show the unique details of the church.

The Loretto Chapel was built without access to the chior loft. The Sisters of Loretto prayed to Saint Joseph for a solution. An unknown carpenter arrived in answer to the Sisters' prayers. He built the Miraculous Staircase out of wood with no center support. The chapel and its staircase attracts visitors from around the world.

This wooden replica makes the perfect keepsake for the visitor or collectable for those who appreciate northern New Mexico Churches, sacred places, or handcrafted art. Each ornament has a description of the church and the artist's signature.  Collect them all!
