Saint Catherine of Siena Jewelry and Collectables
Catherine of Siena (1347-1380) received a vision of Christ when she was only five or six. She had another vision, this time of Saint Dominic when she was 16 and dedicated her life afterward to prayer and charity. As an adult she was sought out as a spiritual director and gained a group of followers. It was during the Great Schism of Christianity in 1378 that she offered herself as a sacrifice for the Roman Church. St Catherine died of starvation at the age of thirty-three.
