The Little Church Mouse of the Loretto Chapel
The Loretto Chapel is the setting for the tale of a little church mouse who is all alone on Christmas Eve. When he befriends a dove, he is able to tell the legend of the Loretto Chapel and discovers that he really is not alone after all. This is a book about loving and longing and the spirit of Christmas and is for children of all ages.

The story of the "miraculous staircase" is lovingly retold by children's author June Kirkpatrick, a long time New Mexican. The Loretto Chapel and the Sisters of Loretto were her inspiration for writing this Christmas tale.

Colored-pencil artist Michele M.K. Brokaw, finds continuing inspiration in the details found in the beauty of the Loretto Chapel. Michele has captured all the architectural details of the Loretto Chapel in her richly illustrated drawings.

Both the author and the artist are donating their royalties to the Sisters of Loretto.
